Terms and Conditions

1. Booking & Your Wedding Date

Thank you for choosing Lucy Jayne Makeup for your wedding day beauty. To secure your booking, a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total price is required. This deposit confirms your wedding date in my diary and is deducted from the final total. Once the deposit is paid, your date is held exclusively for you.

The final balance is due no later than 28 days before your wedding. If these payment terms are not met, I reserve the right to release your date.

Payment can be made via bank transfer (BACS) or cash.

2. Bridal Trials

Bridal trials take place at my beauty room in Herne Bay, typically on weekdays during school hours. If your trial needs to be on a Saturday, I’m happy to offer this where available — especially in the quieter winter months (usually November to March).

Trials are designed to help you:

explore your wedding look,
try makeup in natural light,
finalise colours and textures that work best for you.

Please let me know in advance if you’re planning a spray tan, brow tint/shaping, or other treatments before your trial so I can advise on timing.

3. Travel & Timings

Makeup includes travel within 10 miles of Herne Bay. For locations beyond this, travel is charged at 50p per mile (plus any applicable tolls, congestion charges or parking costs).

If your wedding morning begins before 7:30am or at a location that requires significant travel time, I may ask for accommodation the night before to ensure a calm, timely start.

4. Surcharges

A modest surcharge applies for the following:

• Bride-only bookings: £100
• Sunday and Bank Holiday bookings: £50
• Early starts (before 7:30am): £30

These surcharges allow for the additional planning, time, and commitment required to ensure the highest level of service on your wedding day.

5. Bridal Party & Assistants

For larger bridal parties (typically more than six people), I may bring a trained assistant to help with timings and smooth preparation. This ensures everyone is ready without feeling rushed. Any assistant costs will be discussed with you in advance.

6. Product Use, Skincare & Sensitivities

I work with high-quality, professional products chosen for longevity, comfort and beautiful finish. All brushes and tools are fully sanitised between clients.

If you have skin sensitivities, allergies, or specific product concerns, please let me know before your trial or wedding morning. In some cases, a small patch test may be recommended.

7. Lash Policy

I specialise in cluster lashes which provide a natural, refined look. If you plan to have lash lifts prior to your trial or wedding, please be aware that the curl can make cluster lashes more difficult to place effectively. Let me know your plans in advance so we can discuss the best approach for your look.

8. Cancellation & Rescheduling

If you need to cancel:

More than 28 days before your wedding: you forfeit the deposit, and 30% of the remaining balance is payable.
Within 28 days of your wedding: the full balance is due.

I always recommend that all wedding suppliers be included on your wedding insurance policy, so you’re protected if plans change for reasons beyond your control.
