Covid-19 Terms and Conditions
Due to the current government restrictions Lucy is unable to perform any makeup application until the 12th April.
Wedding Postponement due to COVID-19
If your wedding is postponed due to COVID-19, either by your venue, or government guidelines, your makeup booking fee and monies paid so far will be transferrable to your new date if Lucy is available.
This is subject to Lucy’s availability so please make her aware of any other potential dates at the point of booking.
For bookings made after January 2021
If the client decides to postpone their wedding and a new date is booked. If Lucy is not available the client will forfeit money paid. In this situation Lucy will endeavour to find an equally skilled makeup artist that is available for the new date.
Wedding Cancellation due to COVID-19
In the event of a complete cancellation due to COVID-19 the client will receive money back, if paid in full. However all booking fees and charges for work done (trials + admin) will be retained by Lucy.
If Lucy is unable to attend your wedding day due to having symptoms of COVID-19 and the need to self-isolate she we endeavour to find a makeup artist to act as replacement. If an alternative MUA is not an option the client will receive a refund of 100% of money paid.
10 miles total travel is included per appointment. For distances over 10 miles, the travel charges are 45p per mile.
Congestion Charge – Traveling inside the congestion charge zone is payable by the client.
Dart Charge – Payable by the client.
Parking – Expenses are charged to the client.
If Lucy has to travel for more than 2 hours from her home address for your wedding, she may request you to book her accommodation the night before.
Consultation & Trial
Consultations & Trials are carried out at my address in Herne Bay. I have a Beauty Room perfect for your wedding makeup trial! If it proves difficult to get yourself and bridal party here, please contact me to discuss.
During busy periods it might not always be possible to schedule trials at the weekend, particularly Saturdays. I will be able to advise you of my availability.
A single client supplement off £50 will be added to weekend weddings at peak times May-Oct. £20 will be added to non-peak times.
To secure your wedding date in advance of your wedding day and consultation, a non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your wedding date.
- Bridal Makeup Deposits are 30% of the booking price.
This is deducted from your wedding day makeup and can be paid by BACS, or Cash.
The deposit is required within 7 days to secure your booking, otherwise, your date will be made available to other brides.
Failure to make payment will result in cancellation of your booking. Furthermore, if booking a minimum of 3 weeks prior to your wedding date full payment is required at your consultation.
- Cancellation of the booking by myself will result in a refund of 100% of costs paid by the client. In the unlikely event that I am unable to make your wedding appointment due to an emergency, an act of god, or severe illness. I will try to find you an alternative makeup artist whom I highly recommend. They will receive a brief and any products required that they might not have in their kit.
- Cancellation of the booking by the client. Payments already made will not be refunded. If you need to cancel an appointment please contact Lucy as soon as possible.
- Within 28 days of the wedding date, 30% of the final balance will be charged.
- If the cancellation is made within 7 days of the wedding the full balance will be charged.
Lucy is happy to make adjustments to the bridal party numbers. If any members cancel less than 4 weeks prior to the wedding date the client will incur a 30% surcharge of the cost of what was quoted.
If consultation bookings are cancelled giving less than 24 hour’s notice the client will incur a £30 surcharge. In extreme circumstances, this may waver but it is up to Lucy’s discretion.
Sunday & Bank Holiday Bookings
£50 surcharge applies for Sunday or Bank Holidays.
£30 For out of hour bookings made before 7.30 am
It’s the client’s responsibility to make Lucy aware of any known allergies or skin sensitivities that they or their bridal party may have. On the rare occasion that any of the bridal party have any contagious skin infections, Lucy will refuse treatment. Skin conditions should be reported by the client to Lucy prior to application. If need be, a sample test of makeup may be performed on the skin to test reaction. Lucy recommends a consultation for this reason.
*The client agrees to release Lucy Jayne Brown, from liability for any skin complications due to allergic reactions.
All brushes, tools and makeup products are kept sanitary and are sanitised between every makeup application.
Lucy is not liable for any suppliers that she recommends. Any assisting makeup artists will be required to have the relevant insurance. Lucy has public liability & teaching insurance cover and is insured by Professional Beauty
It is advisable for the client to obtain wedding insurance.
Lucy may photograph you at your consultation and wedding day. They will be used for social media use and portfolio. Please state if you would not like any photos taken/used for marketing.
